Note: Capital D is the considered as the drive to be checked you can change the drive according to your needs.

Step 3. Now the command prompt will explore your selected drive and will load all the files on your drive.

Step 4. Now if you notice and unusual file.exe and any of autorun.inf then rename it with the command (rename filename.extension new filename)

That’s it! Now you can access your drives without affecting from viruses.

Using Online Scanner To Scan Your Files

VirusTotal is a free service that analyzes suspicious files and URLs and facilitates the quick detection of viruses, worms, trojans, and all kinds of malware.

Step 1. Go to www.virustotal.com from your favorite browser

Step 2. Now you need to scan the suspected files on Virustotal. (Max size is 128MB)

Step 3. In Virustotal, you can scan particular URL or even the whole site. For that, you just need to enter your suspected URL under “URL” in virustotal.  After you have selected the files or URL now, you have to hit the “Scan it” button.

Windows 10 Hack: 3 Ways To Stop Forced Updates

There is no greater Windows 10 controversy than its policy of forced updates. While great in theory, for many users the reality of updates which download and install automatically has been horribly different and the question on many users lips is: How do you stop them?

Now we have an answer: with three potential options. Each has its own pros and cons, so read on to find out which is most suitable for you.

Word of Warning: automatic updates are typically a good thing and I recommend leaving them on in general. As such these methods should primarily be used for preventing a troublesome update from automatically reinstalling (the dreaded crash loop) or stopping a potentially troublesome update from installing in the first place.

Limitations - For Windows 10 Home users there is no way to stop security updates. These are not delivered using the Windows Update Service, but I would not recommend stopping them in any case. The methods below are to give you power over feature and driver updates, less essential areas where I believe users should have control.

Option 1: Stop The Windows Update Service

As central as it is to the core of Windows 10, Windows Update is actually just another Windows process so it can be stopped with these simple steps:

1.       Open the Run command (Win + R), in its type: services.MSC and press enter

2.       From the Services list which appears to find the Windows Update service and open it

3.       In ‘Startup Type’ (under the ‘General’ tab) change it to ‘Disabled’

4.       Restart

To re-enable Windows Update simply repeat these four steps, but change the Startup Type to ‘Automatic’

Option 2: Setup A Metered Connection

Windows 10 offers users on metered connections a compromise: to save bandwidth Microsoft confirms the operating system will only automatically download and install updates it classifies as ‘Priority’.

While Microsoft doesn’t reveal its method of classification, this does cut down more frivolous updates which typically include new drivers and software features - both of which have already caused stability problems.

1.       Open the Settings app (Win + I)

2.       Open the ‘Network & Internet’ section

3.       Open ‘Wi-Fi’ and click ‘Advanced Options’

4.       Toggle ‘Set as metered connection’ to ‘On’

Note: If your PC uses an Ethernet cable to connect to the Internet the Metered Connection option will be disabled as it works with Wi-Fi connections only (silly I know).

Windows 10 is the single operating system working on all Microsoft desktops, laptops, tablets and phones

Option 3: Group Policy Editor

This is a halfway house: the group policy editor will notify you about new updates without automatically installing them (how previous generations of Windows always worked) - though again security updates will still install automatically.

Note: Windows 10 Home users have to sit this one out, it is only for Windows 10 Education, Pro and Enterprise editions.

1.       Open the Run command (Win + R), in its type: gpedit.msc and press enter

2.       Navigate to: Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Update

3.       Open this and change the Configure Automatic Updates setting to ‘2 - Notify for download and notify for install’

4.       Open the Settings app (Win + I) and navigate to -> Update and Security -> Windows Updates. Click ‘Check for updates’ which applies the new configuration setting

5.       Restart

Alternatively for Windows 10 users without group policy access:

1.       Open the Run command (Win + R), in its type: regedit and press enter

2.Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU

3.       In there create a ‘32-bit DWORD’ value called ‘AuOptions’ and under ‘Value Data’ type 2 and click ‘OK’

4.       Open the Settings app (Win + I) and navigate to -> Update and Security -> Windows Updates. Click ‘Check for updates’ which applies the new configuration setting

5.       Restart

How will Cyber Swachata Kendra Work?

When users start registering their systems into the official CSK (Cyber Swachata Kendra) website, The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team will scan the systems, and after detecting any harmful virus or malware, they will notify those users. In the official CSK website, anyone can take part from individual users to media, factories, finance and banking companies. And as this is a free service from Indian govt, no additional fee will be charged for the entire system scanning and detecting process.

CSK will not only notify it’s users about the virus or malware affection, but they will also send a link to the virus affected systems by which they can go to a website where all the essential repairing tools will be provided free of cost. Using these free repairing tools, the user will be able to clean their systems from virus and malware.

Now, CSK is in standardisation testing & quality certification mode (STQC) where they are providing the service to big information technology systems of corporation registers. These two modes are within Ministry Of Electronics and IT sectors and will require a huge maintenance charge of Rs 8 lakh to Rs 10 lakh just for the scanning and disinfecting process of these large IT corporation’s systems. How to Forward Multiple Emails in Gmail

While there are many email services out there, Gmail is undoubtedly the most popular email service out there. It’s sleek, easy to use and brings some very cool features. However, not everything is good, for instance, there’s no way to forward multiple emails in Gmail, which is shame because there are times when you need to forward multiple mails. Doing it one by one can be a very daunting task. Thankfully, there are ways to forward multiple emails in Gmail:

Forward Multiple Emails through Chrome Extension

You can use a Chrome extension dubbed “Multi Forward for Gmail” to forward multiple emails. Here are the steps to do it:

1. First, install the extension from the Chrome Web Store. Once you have added the extension, just head to Gmail and log in to your account.

2. Then, select multiple emails from your inbox and click on the Multi Forward icon that you will find along with the other options.

4. The Multi Forward Chrome extension will then ask you authenticate your Google Account. Just click on “Sign In“.

5. You will have to again log into your Google account and click on “Allow” in the permissions page.

6. Once done, you will see a message saying “Authentication succeeded“.

7. Then, you can select the multiple emails you want to forward and click on the Multi Forward icon. Then, enter the email addresses of recipients. You can add multiple recipients, which is great. Once you have entered the email addresses, click on “Multi Forward”.

8. The emails will then be forwarded. Simple, right? The process might take a few seconds, so do not close the window.

While the Chrome extension certainly gets the job done, it limits forwards to 100 emails a day, which is a restriction by Google. Also, it does not work on Chromebooks and Google Apps accounts.

Automatically Forward Emails via Filters

If you don’t want to give a third party extension access to your Gmail account, there’s a native way in Gmail to automatically forward emails in Gmail using filters. Well, here’s how to do it:

1. First, login to your Gmail account and head to Gmail Settings. In the Settings page, go to the “Fowarding and POP/IMAP” tab. Here, click on “Add forwarding address“.

2. Then, enter the email address you want to forward your emails to. A verification code will be sent to the email address you entered.

3. You can just enter the verification code and click on “Verify“..

4. Then, just make sure to enable the option “Forward a copy…” and click on the option “creating a filter“.

5. Here, you can create a filter for emails that you want to automatically forward to the email address you specified. For instance, if you want to forward emails from a specific address, you can enter that email address in the “From” space. You can also use specific words, attachments and their size to filter them and automatically forward them. Once done, click on “create filter with this search“.

6. In the next page, just enable the “Forward it to” option and select the email address you want to forward emails to. Once done, click on “Create Filter“.

That’s it! You will now see a forwarding notice at the top of your Gmail inbox for 7 days to make sure you are aware of it.

Forward Multiple Emails in Gmail with these methods

If you want to forward only a few emails, you can use the Multi Forward extension but if you don’t want to go through the hassle of doing things manually, you can set up forwarding and filters to automate things in Gmail.
